Both movies are about heists and both have an element of revenge. While I still feel that the original "Italian Job" (with Michael Caine, made in the 60's I think) was much better than "Ocean's Eleven" I'm not so sure about the re-make.

While "Italian Job" was competently made - especially some of the action sequences - I think that "Ocean's Eleven" was way better on the style quotient. And the ensemble cast of Clooney, Pitt, Garcia and the others really made a huge difference. The acting in "Italian Job" was naturally so-so copared to "Ocean's Eleven". Maybe Mark Wahlberg and Donald Sutherland should have switched places!

Bottomline: "Ocean's Eleven" wins by a knock out in this FlickBout!
